Once again, the world witnesses another ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Palestinian resistance. And once more, history seems to repeat itself. While some maintain hopes for Gaza’s reconstruction, doubt remains widespread among Palestinians after decades of broken promises.
History demonstrates that Israel has consistently failed to uphold the terms it signs. For the Zionist state, every truce stands as a temporary pause—an opportunity to reorganize the occupation and prepare for renewed violence.
"Every truce is merely a tactical pause, a diplomatic manoeuvre to reorganise the occupation and prepare for the next aggression."
The latest ceasefire followed the same pattern. Within days, Israeli forces under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu launched new assaults on the Gaza Strip. These attacks reportedly killed more than one hundred Palestinians, including 52 children, 23 women, 4 elderly people, and 7 people with disabilities. Israel justified the assault by claiming Hamas had attacked its troops.
"Hamas denied the accusations and called the violation a deliberate attempt to sabotage the agreement."
At the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit held on October 13, 2025, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, US President Donald Trump, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, and the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani attended discussions on peace efforts in the region.
This article argues that each truce between Israel and Palestinian resistance merely resets the cycle of violence, exposing deep mistrust born from repeated violations by the stronger side.
