The Ministry of Public Works and Environment announces that garbage collection will be paused on Tuesday, November 11, in observance of the Remembrance Day holiday.
“The Ministry of Public Works and Environment is advising that household waste will not be collected on the Remembrance Day holiday, Tuesday, November 11.
Instead, Tuesday’s waste will be collected on Wednesday, starting a ‘roll-over’ collection schedule, finishing with Friday’s waste being collected on Saturday.
This is a recycling collection week, and the recycling collection days will remain unchanged, with west end collection on Thursday and east end collection on Friday.
Household waste and recycling may also be delivered to the Tynes Bay Public Drop-Off, which will be open on Tuesday, 11 November, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, reverting to the regularly scheduled opening hours of 7:00 am to 7:00 pm every day after.
For further information about waste and recycling in Bermuda visit www.gov.bm/waste or follow recyclebermuda on Instagram and Facebook.”
Residents should expect adjusted collection days due to the holiday, while recycling services continue as planned.
