A press conference in the Oval Office was abruptly interrupted when a drug executive fainted while President Donald Trump announced a pricing deal with pharmaceutical companies.
During the Thursday event, President Trump and representatives from Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk discussed a new agreement to expand coverage and reduce prices for popular obesity medications, Zepbound and Wegovy.
David Ricks, CEO of Eli Lilly, was speaking when he noticed Gordon Findlay, Novo Nordisk’s global brand director, suddenly collapse.

Dr. Mehmet Oz, the Administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, quickly assisted as Findlay fell to his knees and lost consciousness.
The press was promptly asked to leave the room following the incident. Health and Human Services Secretary was present during the event.
About 30 minutes later, the press conference resumed with President Trump providing an update on Findlay’s condition.
