Road Closures in the City for Pageant Day Tomorrow
The Christmas Pageant marks the start of the festive season tomorrow morning, bringing joy to the city. However, road users should plan ahead due to multiple closures across the CBD.
Major roads will be closed from early morning until the afternoon, as over 300,000 people are expected to line the streets for the event.
Pageant Route Details
This year, the Pageant will follow its traditional path:
- Starting at South Terrace
- Turning onto King William Street
- Following the western edge of Tarntanyangga
- Passing through Reconciliation Plaza
- Continuing along Wakefield Street, Pulteney Street, and North Terrace
- Ending at Beehive Corner
Advice from RAA
“The Christmas Pageant brings huge numbers to the city each year so road closures will be in place tomorrow morning to keep everyone safe,” said Charles Mountain, RAA Senior Manager Safety and Infrastructure.
“On-street parking will be as rare as a white Christmas, so check for off-street options and allow plenty of extra time if you’re driving to the Pageant."
