Plot Overview

The series begins with Marissa, a wealthy wife, trying to pick up her son from an after-school playdate at the home of Jenny, a fellow classroom mom. However, when she arrives at the given address, the resident, Esther, denies any knowledge of Jenny or the playdate.

"She knows nothing about a playdate, or about Marissa's son, Milo."

What follows is a tense and rapid escalation of events. Even though Milo carries an electronic tracker in his backpack, it has mysteriously been disabled, deepening the mystery and panic.
