Alan Carr has revealed that he fled to the US ahead of the final episode of Celebrity Traitors on Thursday. The 49-year-old comedian is one of the two remaining Traitors in the popular BBC reality show, alongside singer Cat Burns, 25.
Known for his sharp one-liners and cheerful personality, Carr has become a social media favorite. However, he joked that he is currently the “most hated man in the UK” and has gone to Orlando, Florida, with his nephew and niece to avoid public scrutiny.
“I'm the most hated man in the UK, I've had to come here to Orlando to get away from it. Everyone hates me!”
Speaking with Heart radio hosts Olly Murs and Mark Wright, Carr explained the need to escape the pressure.
“I just needed to get away because it's stressful murdering every day. My Christmas card list is getting smaller and smaller.”
Murs suggested Carr could embrace his Traitor persona by wearing a cape from Harry Potter World while visiting Universal Studios theme park. Carr responded humorously:
“I've come here for a break! Maybe I could ride the water slide at Universal's Volcano Bay wearing the cape and carrying a Traitors lantern.”
Earlier, Carr revealed that his close friend Paloma Faith is reportedly “not happy” with his behaviour on the show, adding another layer to the controversy surrounding his role in the series.
Alan Carr’s escape to the US highlights the intense pressure and backlash faced during Celebrity Traitors, blending humor and stress in a high-profile reality TV showdown.
