During a guest appearance on the Hasan Minhaj Doesn’t Know podcast, Prince Harry was asked directly if he planned to obtain U.S. citizenship in the “Royal Rapid Fire” segment.
“There are no plans to be, at this point,” Prince Harry said.
Current Citizenship Status
Born in London as a British royal family member, Harry still holds British citizenship. After five years in the U.S., it was surprising to hear that becoming a U.S. citizen is not currently planned.
Life Beyond Citizenship
Despite not seeking citizenship, Harry has embraced life in Los Angeles, including supporting the local baseball team. On October 28, 2025, he and Meghan were seen cheering for the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium during Game 4 of the World Series against the Toronto Blue Jays.
