Phoenix Suns Provide Injury Updates on Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green

The Phoenix Suns have yet to see their full lineup healthy this season. Key starters guard Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks have missed multiple games due to injuries.

Injury Details and Current Status

Jalen Green suffered a hamstring injury before preseason began and has not appeared in any regular-season games. Dillon Brooks has missed three consecutive contests, including Friday's game against the Utah Jazz, due to a core muscle strain.

Coach Jordan Ott's Comments

"It's continuing to evaluate them day-by-day. We haven't had a ton of 5-on-5 because of our schedule. Yesterday, the day in between, more just film and walk through. They've been able to partake in all of that."

Ott highlighted both players' participation in practice despite their injuries, noting their commitment and progress on and off the court.

Background and Expectations

Brooks and Green joined the Suns as part of the Kevin Durant trade from the Houston Rockets. Green was ruled out before the regular season started and was scheduled for reevaluation after ten days; however, no clear timeline has emerged for his debut with the Suns.

"You can see him in games, how engaged he is and how much he wants to be out there. It's the same in practice," Ott said of Green. "He's been great the entire time. So he's getting it in here and there and that's really helped him as he's progressed here. We know when he gets into live action that hopefully his involvement overall can be sped up because of the reps he's been able to take even though he isn't playing in the game."

Summary

The Suns are closely monitoring Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green’s recovery, expressing optimism about their eventual return based on their dedication during practice despite limited live gameplay.
