Lorraine Kelly, 65, has revealed she feels "upset" about the significant reductions to her daytime ITV programme. The presenter’s long-running morning show has undergone major alterations announced in May.
“I was disappointed, of course I was. This is the world that we live in now. Things have to change. I mean, I've been through so many regime changes in my life. For me, this is just another one, but it's seismic. The thing that has upset me the most is the fact that we've got this great team, and obviously, that's not going to be in place next year because jobs will go.”
Kelly shared her feelings during an interview on BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs, highlighting the emotional impact of the decision and the loss of team members due to the cuts.
These adjustments represent a major shake-up in her show's structure and broadcasting schedule, reflecting broader shifts in ITV’s daytime programming.
Summary: Lorraine Kelly is saddened by ITV's drastic reduction of her show’s airtime and team, calling the changes "seismic" and reflecting the challenges in today’s broadcasting landscape.
