Jennifer Lawrence, the Academy Award-winning actress known for The Hunger Games and Silver Linings Playbook, spoke about her encounters with ghosts in New Orleans on the Las Culturistas podcast with Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers.
Lawrence described supernatural experiences during the filming of her 2022 movie Causeway in New Orleans as "really bad." She moved three times while shooting in the city and eventually stayed at a hotel.
One day while in bed, Lawrence heard a housekeeper enter her room. The housekeeper apologized for waking her and left. Later, Lawrence realized her door had been deadbolted, making it impossible for anyone to enter the room.
"I don't know, I just come from a world where we believe women," Lawrence said regarding the eerie incident.
She admitted to Rogers that she might have been partly asleep at the time.
Lawrence also recounted another experience while staying at a local house during the shoot. While watching TV alone, the kitchen doors repeatedly slammed open and shut without explanation.
