Edgar Wright is bringing a more faithful adaptation of Stephen King’s novel The Running Man to fans. Alongside that, he is reviving the art of the DVD commentary, offering viewers deeper insights into the film.
One particular scene left a strong impression—not for its emotion, but for its display of physical strength. Glen Powell and Daniel Ezra appear in sleeveless shirts, showing off their arms, followed by a shot of Lee Pace also in a sleeveless shirt. This moment became a real highlight, with Wright noting the “holy arms” presence during the movie.
“It’s funny, we did the commentary for the film the other day and it was actually Glen’s first DVD commentary,” Wright shared. “And I said something to him, which I didn’t say to him on set, there’s a scene with him and Daniel Ezra who plays Bradley. I said, ‘You guys were really having a gun off this day.’ Glen said, ‘Oh yeah, it was the gun show’ because Daniel is in incredible shape.”
The commentary not only uncovers fun moments like the “gun show” but also highlights the actors’ dedication and the physicality they brought to their roles, deepening the appreciation of the film’s production.
