The intense six-day Final Stage of the DP World Tour Qualifying School is underway in Spain at INFINITUM, testing players eager to compete on the DP World Tour.
After contests held at 13 venues in seven countries through stages one and two, featuring 14 tournaments of 72 holes each, players now face a final, demanding hurdle.
Starting Friday, participants will play two rounds on each of INFINITUM's Lakes and Hills courses. A 72-hole cut will determine who proceeds after Monday's play. The last two rounds on Tuesday and Wednesday take place on the Lakes course, where survivors compete for qualification.
Formerly known as Lumine until 2021, INFINITUM has hosted the Final Stage since 2017. This year marks the seventh time the Costa Daurada resort, boasting 45 holes, serves as the venue. The event was paused in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid pandemic.
The Final Stage is contested on two 18-hole courses at INFINITUM: Lakes and Hills. The Hills course underwent a significant renovation last year, especially on the back nine.
European Golf Design led the upgrade of the woodland Hills course. The redesigned 18th hole is a dramatic par-four featuring an island-green-style approach in a natural quarry setting.
"The completely reimagined 18th hole is now a striking par-four with an island-green-style approach set within a natural quarry."
