Stocks at Athinon Avenue declined on Thursday, as the corporate earnings reports failed to spark buying interest amid a volatile market environment. The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index closed at 1,998.38 points, down 0.80% from Wednesday’s 2,014.47 points.

Market turnover rose to 281.2 million euros from Wednesday’s 198.5 million euros. In Nicosia, the Cyprus Stock Exchange general index fell slightly by 0.13% to 280.45 points.
