A twin-engine plane that departed Alliance Airport crashed near Hicks Airfield in Fort Worth, killing two people and igniting a fire that damaged at least ten semi-trucks.
The crash occurred in the 12700 block of N. Saginaw Blvd., near Avondale, at around 1:30 p.m. Multiple semi-trucks were on fire, and two individuals were pronounced deceased on the scene.
The plane was identified as a King Air Twin Engine Aircraft. The fire, which also sparked grass fires, was brought under control in 35 minutes at 2:11 p.m.
The Fort Worth Fire Department dispatched 10 firetrucks, 14 support vehicles, and three ambulances to the location.
