Chinese filmmaker Yi Zhou, 34, has made serious allegations against Jeremy Renner, 54, known for his role in "Hawkeye." Zhou claimed that Renner threatened to report her to ICE and sent unsolicited explicit images of himself.
Zhou, who collaborated with Renner on a documentary and an animated film, said the actor contacted her randomly via direct message and WhatsApp in June 2025, sending a series of unwanted pornographic images. Despite this, the two reportedly developed a romantic relationship and worked on two film projects together.
According to Zhou, their relationship changed during a meeting at Renner’s home in Reno, Nevada, to discuss the documentary Chronicles Of Disney. She described Renner drinking a bottle of wine alone and becoming extremely angry, yelling for two hours.
“I had to location share to my team, my parents and Disney colleagues in case something happens to me they know where I am,” Zhou said. “I had to lock myself in a room to be safe praying he would not come into the room at night as he was really angry. I did not say a word, I was so scared for my life.”
Zhou also informed a colleague that she planned to stay at Renner’s home for safety. The Daily Mail published alleged text messages Zhou sent to her Disney team during the tense episode.
