Moment the Laughing Teenage Killer Confronted by Victim’s Family

A young man, who coldly blamed the stabbing death of a beloved doctor on the victim himself, was confronted by the doctor's family in court.

The family of Dr. Ashley Gordon, who was ruthlessly stabbed to death at age 33 on January 13 last year, faced the 18-year-old killer. The attack happened in Doncaster, Melbourne’s east, in a senseless act of violence.

Dr. Gordon had attempted a citizen’s arrest after catching the teenager breaking into his home on Sargent Street with three others. The confrontation took place on Eildon Street.

Despite the brutal attack, the killer claimed self-defense. He argued that Dr. Gordon had aggressed first during a supposed 'roid rage.'

"The doctor shoulder-charged me into a garage door, prompting me to stab him repeatedly to free myself as he held me in a bear hug."

The teen said he feared for his life and never meant to kill or seriously harm Dr. Gordon.

The jury rejected the claims that Dr. Gordon had 'smirked' at the teen and dismissed the story about the doctor’s alleged steroid use fueling his fury.

Summary

This tragic case highlights a ruthless attack on a devoted doctor, where legal defenses failed to justify a devastating act of violence.
