"I was having a conversation with a good friend one day and he spoke about Jesus. I had a scene that played out in my mind of being Jesus' childhood lay mate who as a teenager had to leave the village with my family to go and live somewhere else and I had to leave Him. Years passed and I didn't know He was crucified, and this is what my song is all about."
Deniece describes all the songs on her album as very special, feeling as though they were directly inspired through her from a higher source. At the time of writing Free~Queen~See, she experienced complete solitude, which deeply influenced the creative process.
