Dartmouth football looks to rebound against Princeton

After a challenging 31–10 road loss to undefeated Harvard, Dartmouth football is preparing for a strong comeback at home this Saturday against Princeton. Despite the setback, the Big Green displayed fight and potential in their third-quarter rally, aiming to translate that momentum into success against the Tigers.

“We came out of halftime and really battled and put ourselves right back in the game,” head coach Sammy McCorkle said. “But they just out-executed us and we didn’t make enough plays when we did get that momentum going... We talked about it at halftime. Just go out there and take one play at a time, and let’s make sure we just do what we do. I think we did that in the third quarter.”

Head coach Sammy McCorkle acknowledged the team’s resilience but noted the need for sharper execution to finish drives and sustain energy through all four quarters.

“We showed that when we play at our best we can execute against anyone,” tight end Chris Corbo ’26 said. “We came out of halftime with a purpose.”

All-Ivy tight end Chris Corbo highlighted the offense’s ability to compete at a high level when focused and determined.

“With that game, specifically the pressure we continued to put on the quarterback [which] was a huge thing,” defensive end Joshua Johnson ’27 said.

Defensive end Joshua Johnson noted the improved pass rush as a key takeaway, emphasizing the unit’s goal to bring similar intensity against Princeton this weekend.
