Mail Service to Canada Will Resume Next Week

Mail shipments to Canada are scheduled to resume next week amid the ongoing rolling strike at Canada Post. The Bermuda Post Office confirmed it will restart mail shipments to Canada on Monday, although delivery delays may still occur due to ongoing disruptions.

“The BPO appreciates the public’s patience and co-operation during this time.”

The suspension of mail delivery services from Bermuda to Canada began in late September because of a nationwide strike at Canada Post. Last month, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers shifted from a national strike to a rotating strike, allowing some mail deliveries to recommence.

Local Post Office Closures

The Bermuda Post Office also announced that all local post offices will close at noon tomorrow for a staff event.

“The BPO apologises for any inconvenience this early closure may cause.”
