Suns' Jalen Green leaves game vs Clippers, apparently reaggravating his hamstring injury

Suns' Jalen Green Leaves Game Against Clippers Due to Hamstring Injury

Jalen Green needed assistance to leave the court late in the first quarter of the Phoenix Suns' matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers after apparently re-aggravating a hamstring injury.

Phoenix Suns guard Jalen Green grabs his leg before leaving the court during the first half of an NBA basketball game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Green exited the game after scoring two points in seven minutes during his second appearance with the Suns. He seemed to strain his leg while driving to the basket, halting suddenly and then carefully leaving the court.

The Suns later confirmed that Green would not return to the game.

He made his Phoenix debut on Thursday, scoring 29 points in a victory over the Clippers in Arizona.

Acquired from Houston in a seven-team trade last summer that sent Kevin Durant to the Rockets, Green missed the Suns' first eight games due to the injury. He initially hurt his hamstring during training camp and worsened it during the team's preseason trip to China.

The second overall pick in the 2021 draft started for the Suns at Intuit Dome.
