2026 Grammy Award Nominations Announced
The nominations for the 2026 Grammy Awards, music’s most prestigious honors, were announced in November. The 68th annual ceremony will celebrate achievements in recorded music released between August 2024 and July 2025.
The awards will be presented on February 1 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The live broadcast will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+ for both live viewing and on-demand access.
Best Musical Theater Album Nominees
Five albums have been nominated in the category of Best Musical Theater Album:
- Buena Vista Social Club
- Death Becomes Her
- Gypsy
- Just in Time
- Maybe Happy Ending
The category honors excellence in the production and performance of musical theater recordings. This year’s list reflects a strong field, with over 40 albums submitted for review.
Key Nominees and Contributions
For Buena Vista Social Club, the official nominees are producers Marco Paguia, Dean Sharenow, and David Yazbek, who represent the original Broadway cast recording team.
Paguia also served as orchestrator, arranger, and music director for the production. He previously earned a 2025 Tony Award for Best Orchestrations and a Special Tony as a member of the show’s onstage band.
David Yazbek contributed as a creative consultant, while Dean Sharenow acted as musical supervisor.
