According to industry analyst Rhy Elliott from Alinea Analytics, Arc Raiders has already sold around 2.5 million copies. The game’s commercial success brought over $100 million in revenue to its developer, Embark Studios.
Elliott’s analysis notes that about 69.2 percent of Arc Raiders players are on Steam. Meanwhile, 17.3 percent are estimated to play on PlayStation and 13.5 percent on Xbox.
In his blog post, Elliott discussed why Arc Raiders has achieved such success compared to other extraction shooters.
“ARC Raiders is great because it focuses on community — NOT because it's an extraction shooter.”
The analyst also pointed out that the community-driven approach and crossover appeal with other co-op games have been major factors behind the game’s popularity.
“Our crossover estimates show that about half of ARC Raiders players on Steam have also played Phasmophobia, Lethal Company, and Helldivers 2, respectively. And over 40% have played R.E.P.O, Valheim, PEAK, and Dead by Daylight.”
Arc Raiders’ strong community focus and crossover appeal with other co-op titles helped it surpass 2.5 million sales and earn over $100 million for Embark Studios.
