The new multiplayer extraction shooter Arc Raiders had an impressive debut, selling about 1.6 million copies within its first three days. The game reached a peak of 354,836 concurrent players shortly after release.
According to data from Steam analytics site Gamalytic, Arc Raiders generated roughly US$61.1 million in revenue. These estimates exclude console sales, meaning the actual total is likely higher. However, the launch weekend experienced significant technical challenges as matchmaking and login problems appeared once player numbers exceeded 300,000. At one stage, servers went offline for several hours before Embark Studios resolved the issues.
In appreciation of player patience during the unstable launch, developer Embark Studios announced a compensation reward for all players who logged in during the opening weekend.
“As a token of our thanks, we’re sending 500 Raider Tokens to all Raiders who logged in on Sunday (2 November).”
Developers humorously noted that the servers on Sunday “had a wobble,” joking that “Scrappy must’ve pecked a few wires loose.”
The statement, posted on X, framed the gesture as both gratitude and an apology for the early technical difficulties.
The launch of Arc Raiders combined strong sales momentum with early server setbacks, prompting Embark Studios to reward players with tokens as a goodwill gesture.
