A devoted fan of Tulane football, Renell was deeply devoted to his grandchildren and had a heart dedicated to service.

After graduating from Gonzales High School, Renell proudly served in the United States Coast Guard. A decorated Vietnam veteran, he furthered his education at Southeastern Louisiana University. He then spent over three decades working alongside his brothers at Ciba Geigy/Syngenta.

Known affectionately as “Fix-It,” Renell had a talent for restoring broken things to beauty. He loved gardening, planting flowers, and nurturing his love for his wife of 13 years, Lillie. His daughters, Robyn and Rebecca, were the loves of his life, inspiring pride and joy in every conversation about them.

Renell was a cherished older brother to Phyllis, Dale, Faryl, Rickey, Kirk, and Keeley, ensuring there was never a dull moment at the Robert household. His grandchildren—Sophia, Gavin, Cohen, Colin, Connor, Kaylee, Brady, Chloe, Max, and Bellamie—were the treasures that completed his heart.
