Woman and Child Drown in Dandenong Creek

According to police, a woman and a child drowned after falling into Dandenong Creek this afternoon, 10 November. A witness reported that two people were swept away near Allan Street at about 3:45 pm.

It is believed the woman tried to help the child but also got into trouble in the water, police said.

Rescue Efforts and Outcome

During a search, police found the unconscious duo, pulled them out of the creek, and began CPR. Unfortunately, attempts to revive them were unsuccessful, and both were declared dead at the scene.
