Photos posted on Instagram by bfmsoficial — taken from a video initially released by Auto Societies before the embargo and later removed — showcase the heavily updated HiLux ahead of today’s official reveal.
Design and Features
The platform and cabin structure from the A- to C-pillars remain unchanged from the current model. However, the new HiLux boasts a completely redesigned front with slim headlights, a squared-off grille, and sharp angular edges. The rear end also looks more robust, featuring a tailgate stamped with TOYOTA.

Variants and Powertrains
- Multiple new HiLux versions have been spotted, including the Prerunner, Overland, 4Trex, and an electric variant reportedly called the Travo-e.
- Except for the electric model, all variants appear to use a 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, likely a carry-over of the 1GD-FTV engine common in the Australian HiLux range.
