TV presenter Davina McCall, 58, revealed on social media that she underwent a biopsy after discovering a lump. The cancer was successfully removed during a lumpectomy a few weeks ago.
Following her announcement, fans and friends, including Amanda Holden and Penny Lancaster, sent messages of love and encouragement.
In her video statement, Davina explained that the cancer had been found very early. She shared that she would undergo five days of radiotherapy in January as a precautionary measure to stay cancer-free.
“I was very angry when I found out, but I let go of that and I feel in a much more positive place now.”
She expressed deep gratitude to her doctors, nurses, family, and fiancé Michael Douglas for their support throughout the process.
“The message here is know your boobs. Sending out huge love.”
Davina first shared her diagnosis during her Dine With Davina charity event in Southampton. The crowd was visibly moved when she revealed the news.
“Lorraine Kelly had put signs on the backs of all the doors saying ‘check your breasts,’ and every time I went for a wee I did that. It was still there, and then one morning I saw myself in the mirror and thought, ‘I’m going to get that looked at.’”
Back in November 2024, Davina had already faced a major health challenge after being diagnosed with a colloid cyst — a rare benign brain tumour — which was successfully removed through surgery.
Davina McCall candidly shared her early-stage cancer diagnosis and recovery, using her platform to encourage self-checks and spread awareness about early detection.
