Big Brother viewers have expressed strong disapproval of what they called the “worst” backdoor eviction they have ever witnessed on the 2025 ITV series. Sam from Skipton was eliminated in a surprise move that left fans frustrated.
Earlier in the week, housemates nominated Sam and Nancy for eviction. Viewers had only 15 minutes to vote on Tuesday night (November 4) to save their preferred contestant, but the actual eviction was not revealed until the following day’s episode.
The eviction followed a fireworks party, which was part of a special celebration for housemate Teja’s birthday. Big Brother gathered contestants including Richard, Jenny, and Caroline in the garden to watch the fireworks accompanied by an unexpected twist related to the eviction.
“Housemates, it’s nearly time for Big Brother’s firework display. But, before we light the fuse, Big Brother has some news. Tonight is not just fireworks night, it’s also eviction night.”
“Sam, Nancy, go to the snug now to collect your spectacular eviction outfits.”
In the snug, Sam and Nancy found rocket-themed outfits—red for Sam and blue for Nancy. Big Brother warned:
“Sam and Nancy, tonight one of you is about to go out with a bang.”
Big Brother UK’s official Twitter announced:
“🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Three Housemates are facing Eviction on Friday, and it’s a DOUBLE Eviction #BBUK #BBLL — Big Brother UK (@bbuk) November 5, 2025”
Many viewers felt the backdoor eviction format disrupted the show's usual flow and fairness.
The shocking backdoor eviction of Sam on Big Brother 2025 sparked intense fan criticism for its surprise format and rushed voting process, marking a divisive moment in the series.
