The next generation of one of the world's most popular midsize pickups, the Toyota Hilux, is set for its debut next week. Toyota confirmed the new Hilux will premiere simultaneously in Thailand and Europe on November 10 at 6:00 AM CET.
"The video, shared by Toyota’s Thailand division, gives us the first official look at the new Hilux’s exterior design."
The automaker teased the model with an identical set of photos used for the Asian market. This launch ends months of spy shots, rumors, and speculation. The new Hilux will succeed the current generation, which has been on sale since 2015 and received updates in 2017, 2020, and 2024.
The new Hilux features a refreshed front end with slimmer, sharper LED headlights, a sculpted hood, and taller bumper intakes. The side profile retains familiar elements such as the dual-cab body, sports bar, and pronounced fenders.
At the rear, the pickup sports more angular taillights with modern LED graphics, framing a tailgate that now includes a subtle integrated lip spoiler.
"There’s a big TOYOTA badge across the grille, just in case anyone misses the point, and a Hilux script on the tail."
The new generation Hilux continues Toyota’s tradition of rugged midsize pickups renowned worldwide, replacing the model that has seen multiple facelifts over nearly a decade.
More information aligns with trends seen in other pickups like Nissan’s Navara reboot, reflecting shared design influences within the segment.
Author’s Summary: Toyota’s next-generation Hilux debuts with sharper design and modern features, marking a significant upgrade to the rugged midsize pickup that’s been on the market since 2015.
