U.S. Olympic Curling Team Trials: Preview, Schedule, and How to Follow Live

From November 11 to 16, four men’s and four women’s curling teams will compete to determine who will represent Team USA at the Olympic Qualification Event, where the final spots for the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milano Cortina will be awarded.

Event Details

The trials take place at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The nation's top curlers will battle it out to earn the right to compete at the Olympic Qualification Event in 2025 and move closer to the Olympic Games.

Olympic Quota Status

Currently, the USA has not secured a quota spot for either men’s or women’s curling at the Milano Cortina 2026 Games. This follows the team’s inability to earn sufficient Olympic Qualification Points at the 2024 and 2025 World Championships.

Path to the Olympics

The winners in Sioux Falls will advance to the Olympic Qualification Event in Kelowna, Canada. There, they will compete for the last two available quota spots in each event before the Games. If Team USA fails to secure a quota in either men’s or women’s categories at Kelowna, they will not have representation in that event at the Olympics.

"To date, the nation has had teams compete in every Olympic tournament since the sport’s inclusion in the program in 1998, with the men winning bronze at Turin 2006 and gold at PyeongChang 2018."

Summary: The upcoming trials in Sioux Falls are crucial for Team USA to secure a chance at the Olympics, continuing a legacy of consistent participation and past podium success.
