Jetstar is set to relaunch international flights from Avalon Airport to Bali next March, marking the first overseas service from the airport since early 2020. The carrier will also reinstate its Avalon–Adelaide route and expand flight capacity to Brisbane.
The Bali connection will operate five times per week starting 23 March using Jetstar’s A321neo LR aircraft. Services to Adelaide will reach up to seven flights per week from 26 March, while Brisbane routes will increase by as many as five weekly services.
“This is a massive step forward for Jetstar at Melbourne Avalon Airport. We’re launching two new routes and adding more seat capacity than ever before,” said Jetstar CEO Stephanie Tully.
“Whether it’s a family holiday in Bali or a weekend away in Adelaide or Brisbane, these services give Victorians even more options to take off more, for less.”
“This investment will see thousands more customers fly through Melbourne’s second airport gateway, supporting the economic growth of Melbourne, Geelong, the Surf Coast and the Bellarine Peninsula. I want to thank the Victorian Government, Melbourne Avalon Airport and Adelaide Airport for their support of low fares travel.”
The expansion is expected to add over 330,000 seats to and from Avalon annually. Avalon Airport CEO Ari Suss emphasized that the increase in flights will boost opportunities for both local travelers and tourists.
Jetstar’s 2025 expansion at Avalon revives international links and boosts domestic options, promising stronger travel connections and regional economic growth.
