Samira Wiley and Jin Ha Join Broadway Revival of Proof

Emmy and SAG Award winner Samira Wiley will make her Broadway debut this spring as Claire in the revival of Proof, David Auburn’s Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play. The production is directed by Tony winner Thomas Kail.

Grammy nominee Jin Ha will return to Broadway as Hal, joining previously announced stars Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle. The show opens at the Booth Theatre on March 31, 2026.

Samira Wiley’s Stage and Screen Career

A Juilliard graduate, Wiley recently performed in London at the Donmar Warehouse in Lynn Nottage’s Intimate Apparel. She also appeared in the National Theatre’s production of Blues For An Alabama Sky and starred Off-Broadway in the 2016 production of Daphne’s Dive at Signature Theatre.

On television, Wiley is best known for playing Poussey Washington on Netflix’s Orange is the New Black. She recently completed the final season of Hulu’s adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale, for which she won the 2018 Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama and received three additional nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress.

Jin Ha’s Career Highlights

Ha made his Broadway debut in 2017 in Julie Taymor’s production of David Henry Hwang’s M. The following year, he played Annas in NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert, earning a Grammy nomination for Best Musical Theater Album.
