The Montreal Canadiens have officially announced an eight-year contract with American defenseman Lane Hutson, worth $8.85 million per season.
The contract, which will take effect next summer, includes a small no-trade clause and the vast majority of the contract in bonuses, with $55M out of $70M guaranteed.
