The Legal Services Board (LSB) will review how regulators and representative bodies have ensured accurate and reliable information on conducting litigation, following the Mazur ruling.
The oversight regulator noted that the judgment did not change the law under the Legal Services Act 2007, but prompted discussion on the interpretation and application of conducting litigation as a reserved legal activity.
The LSB will also prioritize an application from CILEx Regulation to enable chartered legal executives to obtain standalone litigation practice rights, currently bundled with advocacy rights.
Entirely unsurprising ruling
