A 19-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash just three days after getting his motorcycle license.

The crash happened Sunday night in Nashville. The Metro Nashville Police Department identified the driver as 19-year-old Christian Jordan.

A preliminary investigation shows that Jordan was speeding on a BMW motorcycle on Interstate 40 when he entered a “high-speed wobble” and abruptly hit the brakes.

Police said he was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene. There were no signs of impairment, according to police.

Officials said Jordan had just received his motorcycle license on Thursday, three days prior to the crash.
