Pretoria - South African national police commissioner for crime detection Lt-Gen Shadrack Sibiya claimed he had an amicable relationship with KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner Lt-Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi until a dispute over an enquiry on the arrest of AKA's murder suspects.

AKA, whose real name is Kiernan Forbes, was gunned down on February 10, 2023, along with Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane on Durban’s Florida Road.

Lt-Gen Shadrack Sibiya claimed the dispute began over the enquiry into AKA's murder case.

The incident led to a disagreement between the two police officials, changing their previously amicable relationship.
