Our Students Deserve Certainty

As we conclude our conversation, I reflect on what policy discussions mean in practice. For many, federal budgets and legislative sessions seem distant from daily school life.
However, as educators, we know how quickly decisions can impact classrooms. Uncertainty in school funding is a real challenge, keeping superintendents and school boards awake at night.
One of the hardest parts of my job as superintendent was knowing that every budget line represented people and students.
