A group of residents are organizing a union to support public transit in the Cowichan Valley.
Amanda LaRoche, who relies on transit buses, said the idea began during the recent eight-month transit strike.
“There was hardly any public information about what was going on before the strike began, and riders were only given a week’s notice of it,”
LaRoche and other organizers will hold a meeting at Island Bagels and Bannock Cafe to discuss transit issues.
