Madera High's band is practicing on the field at Memorial Stadium for the final days.
"It's pretty exciting. We are pretty much taking the stadium down to the ground,"
said MUSD Deputy Superintendent Sandon Schwartz. The $32 million bid for demolition and construction was approved by the school board in September.
The updates will include new locker rooms, restrooms, concession stands, field and track, as well as a new scoreboard, addressing ongoing issues such as crumbling stairways and outdated seating.
