Missing 10-Year-Old Auckland Girl Found Safe
A 10-year-old girl who went missing from Cornwall Park has been found safe and well at Westfield Newmarket Shopping Centre.
The girl, named Lily, was last seen by family members in Cornwall Park around 5pm. She was described as having long, waist-length hair and wearing black pants and a brown/yellow t-shirt.
“If you think you may have seen Lily since 5pm, please call 111 and quote event number P064094631.”
Police issued an urgent appeal for sightings of Lily at 8:50pm, but shortly after, at 9:10pm, a police spokeswoman announced that the girl had been found at the Newmarket shopping centre.
- Lily was found alone at Westfield Newmarket Shopping Centre.
- She may have wandered over 3km to the mall by herself.
- Police received a call from security to confirm her presence at the shopping centre.
