Utah GOP Launches Efforts to! Overturn Voter-Approved Prop 4
The Utah Republican Party has launched efforts to undo a voter-approved initiative and a recently approved set of congressional maps.
In Salt Lake City, Utah GOP Chair Rob Axson filed a citizen initiative to repeal Proposition 4 and a referendum to overturn the new congressional map.
Utah voters “did not understand what they were signing up for”
when approving Proposition 4, which passed with 50.34% of the vote.
- 512,000 votes in favor
- 505,000 against
Proposition 4 established a seven-member independent commission to draw and recommend congressional and legislative maps.
