According to a story published by Politico, Samuel Douglass, 27, was involved in a racist text chat with fellow young Republicans from four states, including Vermont.
The hateful statements made in this group chat are disgusting and unacceptable.
Vermont Gov. Phil Scott called on Douglass to resign, stating the above. Douglass was part of a historic red wave last November, helping the GOP pick up six seats in the Vermont Senate.
