Peace, Justice, and Non-Violence in a World of Violence
In recent times, terms like peace, justice, and non-violence have become central in a world plagued by violence. This is largely due to the fact that the majority of global humanity and nations are caught up in conflicts and wars, whether internal or external.
The state, given complete authority to reign over forces that attack the government, often uses weapons to quell uprisings. In the name of security and safety, the state can unleash violence to subdue those resisting for justice, and is equipping itself with modern equipment and weapons to contain growing unrest and demonstrations.
The state can overrule prescribed limits on force, deciding how much to use, when, and what to use.
