According to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), BYD's passenger NEV retail sales totaled 347,353 units in September, down 10.2% year-on-year but up 12.0% month-on-month.
Tesla's retail sales in China totaled 71,525 units in August, marking a 0.9% year-on-year decline but a 25.1% increase from July.
BYD maintained its top position with a 26.7 percent market share in September, down from 27.8 percent in August and lower than the 34.4 percent share recorded in the same month last year.
