Launch of Play Streets Community Toolkit
The Office of Economic Development (OED) announces the launch of the Play Streets Community Toolkit, in partnership with the county's Planning Department, Mayor's Office, Kauai District Health Office, Get Fit Kauai, and the Hawaii Department of Health's Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion Division.
The toolkit is a step-by-step guide to help residents, schools, and community groups host temporary, car-free street events that promote play, physical activity, and social connection in their neighborhoods.
