Why I Still Love Newspapers
I am a week late to this discussion because I was reflecting on my experiences in Iraq 20 years ago with the brave men and women of Georgia's 48th Brigade Combat Team.
Last week was National Newspaper Week, which holds personal significance for me. As a columnist, I have the privilege of sharing my thoughts with readers each week, thanks to the editors.
I have been doing this job for nearly three decades and have formed meaningful connections with readers who regularly reach out to me, despite never having met in person.
