Jewish Worlds Illuminated at The Grolier Club

The Grolier Club, a book-lovers' mecca, is hosting its first-ever Jewish-themed exhibit, "Jewish Worlds Illuminated," showcasing the richness of Jewish life in Muslim and Christian lands.

The exhibit features elaborately decorated, centuries-old Jewish manuscripts from Italy, France, and the Iberian Peninsula, as well as from Muslim lands such as Yemen, North Africa, and Iran/Iraq.

These manuscripts are part of "Jewish Worlds Illuminated: A Treasury of Hebrew Manuscripts from The JTS Library," a collection that highlights the dynamic Jewish communities that once existed in these regions.

"America's oldest and largest society for bibliophiles"

The Grolier Club, founded in New York City in 1884, is a renowned institution for book lovers and collectors.
