Author's summary: Review of Stage 3, Day 3 performances.
The third day of Stage 3 at the Chopin Competition 2025 was marked by mixed impressions. Tomoharu Ushida's performance, in particular, was underwhelming, with his loud and undifferentiated renditions of the F minor Fantasy and B minor Sonata.

Zitong Wang's recital provided a more nuanced perspective on her skills, but her loud playing seemed hollow and aggressive, while her soft passagework lacked body and definition.
