Rosalia Marie Mott was born on March 31, 1938, in Eureka, to Winnifred Marie Baldy and Elmer Gray George.
She passed away on October 13, 2025, at her home in Hoopa, leaving behind a legacy of love and music.
Rosalia was the eldest of three siblings and grew up in Eureka for a time before returning to the family ranch in Hoopa in her teens.
She attended school in the valley and graduated in the class of 1956, where she was an active member of the school band, playing the tenor saxophone and piano.
Rosalia shared her love of music with her family, playing in the family band with her Uncle Ray and Auntie Edith, and later accompanying her brother's band, Merv George Band.
She also passed on her musical talents to her daughter and granddaughter, who both played the saxophone.
Her love of music will be remembered and cherished by her family and community.
