Big Sit Results from World Migratory Bird Day

On the previous Saturday, members of the Ely Field Naturalists gathered at the Sandy Point Boat Access on Shagawa Lake in Ely, where they spotted American Pipits and other migratory birds.
The day's events included the removal of buoys from Burntside Lake and Shagawa Lake, as well as the Big Sit bird counters wrapping up their day, hoping to have seen lots of birds and reached 30 species.
